作者簡介

彼得．霍格（Peter Hoeg）

　　1957年出生於哥本哈根，大學修讀文學，在投入寫作之前曾經是舞蹈家、演員、劍術家、水手、登山家。1988年出版第一部小說一鳴驚人，被譽為「他那一代最重要的丹麥作家」。隨後出版的犯罪小說《雪中第六感》長踞世界各國暢銷書榜，為他在世界文壇取得一席之地。另著有《情困伊甸園》、《危險的靜默》等書。

　　Peter Hoeg is an internationally renowned Danish author who entered the North American literary scene with Smilla's Sense of Snow. Since its publication, Hoeg's new works, such as The Woman and the Ape - have appeared in English translations alongside older works such as Tales of the Night. Once a sailor, and currently an actor and dancer as well as a writer, Hoeg lives in Copenhagen.
