Zborowski (b. 1925) helped establish Holocaust Remembrance Day in the US, the first academic chair in Holocaust studies, and postwar US-Polish relations. Rochel and George Berman, consultants to the American & International Societies for Yad Yashem that he founded, chronicle his experiences and leadership qualities as a teen member of the Polish ghetto underground, youth organizer in a displaced persons camp, successful businessman, and Jewish community leader.
