Eleven international academics and independent scholars contribute ten essays examining the poetry and novels of Caribbean/Black British author and academic David Dabydeen (literary studies, U.
of Warwick). The collection is published to coincide with that of Pak's Britannica: Articles by and Interviews with David Dabydeen (U. of the West Indies Press, 2011). Several thematic chapters
examine issues such as hybridity and cultural identity, the notion of "Indianness," and connections between Dabydeen's poetry and fiction. Other chapters provide analyses of specific novels,
including The Intended, Disappearance, A Harlot's Progress, Our Lady of Demerara, and Molly and the Muslim Stick. No subject index has been provided. Distributed by Longleaf Services, Inc.
