內容簡介

The excavations revealed scant evidence for occupation before or throughout the Neolithic period, but increasing activity through the Beaker and Bronze Age. As at other sites in the region, there seemed to be a hiatus in activity and occupation with the advent of the Iron Age. The area was resettled during the early Romano-British period, with masonry structures and domestic and industrial activity, along with small groups of burials in the style of the native Durotrigian tribe. Coins mark the late Romano-Period, and so far only a single shard of Saxon pottery documents later periods. Maps, drawings, and photographs are included, but no index.
