When Corbin Kilwin, microbiologist for the Centers For Disease Control, is called in to help solve a rash of mysterious deaths,he and colleague, Zeke Davis, discover a voracious mutant virus linking the victims to the killer. Complications arise when bureaucracy and red tape contrive to drive the microorganism to extinction. To save the evidence, the scientists are compelled to smuggle the dubious microscopic life form out of the laboratory.
