King, urban design critic for the San Francisco Chronicle shares 50 of his favorite examples of San Francisco architecture in this portable (7x5.2") guide. Grouped into categories of icons, styles and masters, landscape, and change, each entry features two color photographs, the street address, and a brief history of the building. Among the structures showcased are The Pacific Telephone Building, Alexis Apartments, 1019 Market Street, Leonard R. Flynn Elementary School, and the Kayak House at Mission Creek Park.
