These short Potawatomi Language readings are intended for children and their parents who would like to learn about the Potawatomi Language and Culture. The Potawatomi Language is endangered, with less than 50 fluent speakers alive in the United States. It is the goal of this book to introduce the Potawatomi Language to children, especially to Potawatomi children, in the hope that they will begin to appreciate and seek to learn this Native American language. The book is written in Potawatomi. It is separated into 2 levels and contains an English glossary for each reading.
