Chronicles of the Chosen: The Quest

Harry and Kal, both 12, have just become step-brothers. They can't stand each other or their new step-parents and are competing for the same girl in school. To make matters worse, they've each been contacted by a different alien civilization: one intending to destroy Earth; the other hoping to welcome it into galactic civilization. The aliens have given them each unique powers to help aid them in their specific missions. Now the boys must decide whether they should be allies or adversaries as they struggle with the horrors of planetary annihilation and puberty. Chronicles of the Chosen manages to be hilarious and fast-paced, yet thoughtfully detailed all at once as the step-brothers learn about themselves, their world, far-flung galaxies, and the meaning of life.
