Ethics for the Public Service Professional

With over a decade of experience in law enforcement, Dutelle (forensic investigation, U. of Wisconsin-Platteville) was not able to find a textbook that approached ethics from the perspective of the public service professional, rather than from philosophy or business. He explores ethics and ethical decision making as it relates to government service and service within the areas of homeland security and emergency services at the local, county, state, and national levels. Considering actions both on the street and in administration, he discusses challenges faced in incorporating ethics into daily decisions, discretion, and duties.
