Time is flying by at the Toyko Space School and Asumi is now heading into her second of three years at the elite aeronautics academy. However, while this new transition should bring with it excitement and new challenges, Asumi has her heart and mind somewhere else. She cannot forget her old classmate. The accident took many lives and hurt countless of others. Many people have moved away, move on or have tried to forget the tragedy. But for some young people there is no chance to forget or forgive.

Kei Oumi leads a one-woman front to not only lift Asumi's spirits, but also relieve some of the burden our heroine has been carrying for what seems like a lifetime.

Volume: 05 contains six chapters of Twin Spica and an additional short story based on the artist's past before working in the comics industry.

Yet Another Spica--Another tale from his days working at an amusment park, Yaginuma remembers the inspiration for the character Marika. Apparently the aloof teen in the comic is nothing like the person whom she takes inspiration from. The real Marika might have been Yaginuma's co-worker, a hard-working friendly person. And someone who's quirky personality might actually seem more in tune with Asumi's but clearly has her head on straight.
