In response to a decade of major corporate failures, along with the recent financial crisis, companies are increasingly interested in improving their risk management practices. This volume provides in depth coverage of approaches used in Europe and the United States. A general preference for a principle-based approach rather than a rule-based approach can be seen, as this allows the combination of both entrepreneurial risk taking and sound business practices.
