ER nurse Clare Chamberlaine volunteers to learn to crew for Paul Fontaine on his family's sailboat, but her second lesson comes to a macabre end when she discovers a dead body tangled on a boat marker. Maine Marine Patrol Sergeant Remi Windspirit heads an investigation to identify the victim. Clare and Remi share a growing mutual attraction, but romance seems unlikely as the investigation turns sinister.
