Cooper’s Pack Travel Guide to Seattle

Cooper’s Pack Publishing is excited to unveil their latest installment in their children’s travel guide series—the Seattle edition. “The Space Needle and Ivar’s, among other major Seattle attractions, have been very supportive of the project from the beginning,” said author Brandon Kyle Rudd. The attractions even provided the author with special access to the landmarks to photograph their trademark traveling stuffed animals on location.

Cooper—dog and expert travel guide, and Elliott—otter and Seattle Space Needle employee, take readers on a tour around the city of Seattle and visit its most beloved attractions: Pike’s Place Market, the wall of gum, Ivar’s, E.M.P., the Museum of Flight, and the Seattle Duck Tours. Finally, the friends end up at the Seattle Space Needle where Cooper is in for a special surprise!

The children’s travel guide series follows the journey of the main character Cooper, an adventurous dog, through the city with a local friend, a member of his “pack”. The books also include an interactive education and activity section and hidden secrets called “buried bones” which are further explored in the coordinating iPad application.

Cooper’s Pack™ was created by author Brandon Kyle Rudd in conjunction with graphic designer, Martin McCann (Groot), in 2004. To date, Cooper’s Pack Publishing has released Cooper’s Pack—New York City, London, and Seattle. The company will be releasing Cooper’s Pack—Paris and Cooper’s Pack—Bangkok in 2011.
