This splendid edition commemorates the 2010 exhibition of the work of a family of Maltese artists, the Busuttils. From Michele (1762-1861) to his great-grandson, Michele the Younger (1840-1908)
the family were working artists. They painted religious works for churches, miniatures to sell to tourists, still lifes, seascapes and representations of traditional Maltese life. Apart from
Michele, the most successful and productive was his son, Salvatore. Two chapters look at him and his work. However, the exhibition has examples of the work of other Busuttils, including one
woman, Vincenza. Distributed in North America by The David Brown Book Co. Annotation 穢2010 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
