An exhibition of representative objects from the Triennale di Milan collection of Italian design has been traveling to major cities. In a museum catalog in English, Italian, and Chinese, the
collection curator provides historical context and essayists describe collection items organized by several periods from World War II through the 20th century. Among the examples featured are
the Vespa motor scooter, Spaghetti chair, Coban coffee maker, Laser racing bicycle, and E-light computer lamp. Clothing is evidently not in this collection. Descriptions include object name,
category, designer, manufacturer, dates of design and production, material, and serial number. The catalog also includes a history of decorative art as viewed through posters, 1923-1996. First
distributed in the U.S. in 2010 by International Publishers Marketing. Annotation 穢2010 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
