Greenmantle

Set during World War I, this novel tells of a German attempt to raise the whole of Islam in support of Turkey, thus defeating Russia on the Eastern front and turning the course of the war. Accompanied by his three well-known companions—Sandy Arbuthnot, John Blenkiron, and Peter Pienaar—and tasked with unraveling a mysterious message, Hannay travels through Germany and the Middle East searching for the elusive religious leader “Greenmantle”.
