Jillian Westerfield has a perfect life, which seems modeled on luxury women's magazines she reads obsessively. Her husband is a successful banker and has a beautiful girl of eighteen months. Their clothes are dazzling; her house is decorated to last and offers elegant meals. But all of this is not enough to hide the reality, their marriage falters, the tedium invades her life and begins to wonder what had become of her life if she had made other choices.
