for other ship coin collectors, he tells the stories of adventure, battles, circumnavigations, discoveries, and explorations relating to the ships, and giving their historical significance and
other information relating to the coins and their symbols, the foreign countries, their heroes and their histories. He numbers the coins according to the KM system used in the Standard
Catalogue of World Coins, and provides data as well as stories about both the coin and the ship. Monochrome photographs illustrate about half of the coins. The first volume covered Europe
