Having witnessed the brutal rape and murder of her mother, Myah Johnson is found frightened and alone in the closet of her Bronx apartment. She’s adopted by her mother's only sister and tries to live a normal life, but nightmares constantly remind her of the murder, which still remains unsolved. Twelve years later, after seeing a picture of the man she believes to be the killer, she devises a plan to bring him to justice, but when she seeks the assistance of those close to her, she realizes that no one can be trusted.
