Paper Jewellery, edited by Alba Cappellieri, professor of Jewellery Design at the Politecnico di Milano, and Bianca Cappello, jewellery critic, is a comprehensive survey of paper jewellery,
covering designs by sixty international artists. Paper jewellery prompts reflection on value and beauty, not embodied, as with traditional jewellery, in precious metals and gems, but in design,
the unifying theme of the exhibition. Freed from the material value codified by the market, paper jewellery explores transversal artistic languages and themes: decoration, colour, form,
pattern, texture, and sustainability.
