Aras (finance and accounting, Yildiz Technical U., Istanbul, Turkey) and Crowther (corporate social responsibility, De Montfort U., UK) share an incredibly strong dedication to research into
the relationship between a firm's financial performance and its activities pertaining to social and environmental responsibilities. Together they run the Social Responsibility Research Network,
edit its journal, and organize its conferences. In this volume they have brought together 39 contributions from authors based in Turkey and the UK primarily, but also from the US, Australia,
