The Association, based in Boston, is dedicated to research on ancient Egypt on the Giza Plateau. While teaching students and new apprentices as part of its program, Wodzinska (archeology, U. of
Warsaw, Poland) gradually assembled a vast catalogue of ceramic objects recovered from the area, and presents it here in four volumes covering from Neolithic Fayum A to modern times. They are
intended as field guides, and spiral-bound editions are available. Each volume provides general information on pottery production in Egypt and methods of recording it in the field, describes
post-excavation procedures leading to the publication of the material, lists terms and abbreviations related to ceramics, and describes the clays mentioned in the citations. Then the objects
themselves are illustrated in line drawings, and described. Color photographs are included for representative pieces. Specific to each volume are not only the pottery and photographs, but also
a map showing locations mentioned, and a bibliography for the period in addition to the general bibliography contained in all the volume. Distributed in North America by The David Brown Book
