This paper is intended to aid central banks and government agencies involved in regular financial market surveillance and technical assistance to smaller countries. By presenting a framework
for assessing policy issues, it serves as a first step toward formulating policies for developing essential smaller economy markets. The paper draws on Financial Sector Assessment Program
(FSAP) documents, technical assistance reports, IMF country reports, and central bank web sites and documents (accurate through late 2007 and early 2008) in order to provide cross-country data
on smaller economy markets. A two-column, two-color layout aids readability. The report lacks a subject index. Annotation 穢2009 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR (booknews.com)
