This is a big book (12x12") as befits an artist whose canvases are also big, three to five feet by five to ten feet--to give an idea--and whose ideas and expression seem to need the large size.
The bulk of the book showcases the artist's work of the past couple of decades, full-page images displayed essentially in reverse chronological order, with the most recent shown first. The
images are supported by an introductory essay and two interviews conducted in 2004 and 2008. An illustrated chronology, in conventional sequence, describes this Australian artist's life and
work, beginning with his birth in 1949, in Sydney, and continuing through the years as he moved around the country with his family, began his exhibiting career in the late 1960s, and developed
