Puddlejumpers

While working on a farm before being sent to a juvenile detention facility, thirteen-year-old orphan Ernie Banks learns about the kidnapping of the farmer's daughter and suddenly becomes deeply involved in the case--ending up in an underground kingdom of Puddlejumpers while experiencing a strange connection to the water creatures that live there.
