Gender-related statistics have been abstracted from World Development Indicators 2009 for use as a quick reference. It covers 36 indicators for 1990 and 2007 in 209 member countries of the
World Bank, with aggregate data tables for regions and for income groups worldwide. Data is provided on demography, education, family planning and maternal health, labor force and employment
dynamics, and women's political participation. Within these sections are numbers for such details as life expectancy at birth, gross secondary school enrollment as a percent of the relevant age
