Laguna (Rutgers U.-Camden) explores Spanish novelist Miguel de Cervantes' (1547-1616) pictorial imagination within the context where it was forged, focusing on his relationship with his surrounding visual culture. She investigates how he reflected in his fiction the debates and conflicts that engrossed his contemporaries in the visual domains.
