Set in the early 1980’s, Dr. Bram Aronsfeld got more than he expected when a late-night knock at his door led to the dangerous and covert business of rescuing persecuted Christians. He was the perfect recruit: foreign language skills, an encyclopedic knowledge of global cultures, and a graduate degree from the school of hard knocks. Now, the agency has sent him on a mission into communist-controlled Romania.

He must rescue a young, recently converted, Gypsy woman from a local Muslim despot who wants to force her into marriage. But what begins as the saving of one persecuted Christian becomes the liberation of an entire village. Feverish and beaten, Bram must call on God for protection and guidance if his quest is to be completed.

And as long as the church continues to be persecuted around the world, work will never be hard to find for the soul runner.
