內容簡介

Editor Banmen is an internationally known author, therapist, and educator. He taught at the U. of British Columbia for 21 years and has written and edited several previous books related to the work of pioneering American family therapist, Virginia Satir (1916-1988). Here he presents a collection of works produced by Satir between 1963 and 1983, including live presentations, unpublished written material and earlier published articles. Designed for practitioners, academics, and students, the text features 11 chapters organized in chronological order to give readers a sense of Satir’s intellectual journey. Each chapter has a short introduction written by a contemporary practitioner offering a context and focus for what follows. The material has been modestly edited to clarify important information without interfering with Satir’s lively communication style. No subject index.
