Devastated when she discovers that her leukemia has returned, a young girl is drawn into a fantastical quest--both in her imagination and in reality--to the mystical dreamland of Tamarisk, a world created with her father to help her deal with her illness as a small child, to find her estranged father, who could hold the key to saving both her and Tamarisk.
