New Issues in Corporate Governance

The eight studies collected here each address an issue in corporate governance, some using specific cases in Japan, Brazil, Spain, and Italy, among other locations. Most use data to discuss topics that include: equal opportunity rule in transfer of control, banks as shareholders, organizational culture and virtue ethics, and voluntary adoption of improved corporate governance practices under a weak legal environment.
