Mysterious pioneer Egyptologist Emile Prisse d'Avennes (1807-79) produced this collection of photographs and color drawings of ancient Egyptian art, much of it lost in the following years, and
published it in Paris over the decade from 1868 to 1878 as Atlas de l'histoire de l'Art �gyptien, d'apre矇s les monuments, depuis les temps les plus recul矇s jusqu'獺 la domination romains. It was
published with the current title in 1991 by Zeitouna, Cairo, in 1991, and that edition was reproduced by the American University in Cairo Press in 2000, presumably in cloth cover. Distributed
