weaving techniques, as well as uses of the fabrics created, from everyday clothing to religious and other ceremonial uses. Issues in contemporary weaving and concerns regarding preserving these
colorful traditions also are discussed. The volume was edited by Milgram (anthropology, Ontario College of Art and Design) and Hamilton, curator of Asian and Pacific Collections at UCLA’s
