When her father goes in search of her mother and she is left in the care of her Aunt Henrietta at a formerly grand house in Louisiana that is now in ruins, Tennyson finds herself in the midst of a mystical web of time where she learns dark secrets about her family as well as a plausible reason for her mother having gone missing.
