After a horrific bus accident that left him comatose, Rando Masashi's face is left terribly disfigured by extensive burns, but when genius plastic surgeon Dr. Manabe works on his face and makes remarkable progress over the course of a year, Rando wakes up from his coma and realizes that the photo the doctor used was a snapshot of Rina Kurimi, the girl whom Rando has a crush on.
