Old Traditions in New Pots: Silver Seed Pots from the Norman L. Sandfield Collection

Presents miniature silver seed pots created by over 70 contemporary artists who are some of the finest silversmiths working today. Drawn from the Norman L. Sandfield Collection (the largest of its kind) at the Heard Museum, the book features color photographs of more than 240 pieces, each shown in close detail. The miniatures draw on the ancient tradition of ceramic containers that protected the seeds of agricultural plants, and the works featured are primarily from the 1980's to the present.
