Surfing: Historic Images from the Bishop Museum Archives

Located in Honolulu, Bishop Museum Archives boasts the largest collection of historic photographs in Hawaii. This volume presents hundreds of b&w images from that collection depicting surfers riding waves and relaxing on the beach. Most of the photos were taken near Waikiki and span the period from the 1890s into the 1960s. All are accompanied by explanatory captions by Editor Brown (affiliation not cited).
