Crooked River

When a white trapper is murdered and a young Chippewa Indian is arrested as the suspected villain, the entire town is enraged and screams for revenge fill the streets, but thirteen-year-old Rebecca Carver believes the Chippewa boy is falsely accused and sets out to find out the truth to set him free from his pending fate on the gallows.
