The Sempster’s Tale

On behalf of her cousin, Dame Frevisse and her companions, seamstress Anne Blakehall and Anne's lover, a Jewish trader smuggling gold, head for London to recover some lost gold from the treasury of the murdered Duke of Suffolk, but their plans are threatened by the discovery of a crucified body, a crime the ignites dangerous anti-Semitic sentiment.
