The Irish Dresser

In the 1840's as the potato famine spreads throughout Ireland, thirteen-year-old Nora finds solace in the family's large wooden cupboard where she dreams of cakes and other good things and, when her father decides that they should set sail for America, the old cupboard helps make her dreams come true.
