Max and the Cats

Betrayed by his lover's husband, Max Schmidt, the son of a furrier, escapes from the Nazi authorities in his native Germany and boards a ship bound for Brazil, but when the ship sinks, he is stranded in a lifeboat with only a hungry jaguar for company. Reprint.
