Lola and Fred prove that differences in character and appearance - or even species - do not have to get in the way of reaching a goal. Lola & Fred is the first picture book of a series where a new character is introduced with each subsequent publication. This wordless book allows viewers to tell the story in their own words. Christoph Heuer was inspired to illustrate text-free to avoid the language barriers of Switzerland, his native country, which has four national languages. Originally published in Switzerland, Lola & Fred is being introduced to North America for the first time.
