The Tales of Hoffmann Vocal Score

The composer's only grand opera was closest to his heart. Not quite finished when he died in 1880, it was orchestrated and provided with recitatives by Ernest Guiraud, who also added the famous barcarolle from an earlier opera-ballet by Offenbach. This volume, an unabridged reprint of the rare, comprehensive 5th edition, contains the full vocal score and all recitatives.
