Sophocles: Slected Fragmentary Plays

This volume contains six of the approximately 100 plays of ancient Greek tragedian Sophocles, which survive today only as fragments. For each play, the editors (all: U. of Nottingham) discuss both the play itself and the myth upon which it is founded. The Greek text is presented, along with a translation and brief notes on the facing pages. Each concludes with a short, primarily interpretive commentary.
