Since its formation in 1995 by Patrick Beauce and Bernard Cache, Objectile is working on technologies for a "Non-Standard Architecture". That means, that the architectural project consists of a
"model" with its primary elements varying on the basis of invariant relations between them. The intermediate condition ("Gestalt") is altered according to the characteristics and constraints of
the specific project. Besides theoretical investigation they run their own manufacturing facility having the opportunity to produce architectural components at a reasonable price. Their initial
interest was directed towards a specific architectural component of compositional nature: a panel for " decorative cladding. Objectile is currently focusing on other components such as
connecting elements between the panels allowing assembly with variable angles.
With Fast-wood: a Brouillon Project Objectile presents for the first time a comprehensive survey of their current work within the scope of the Consequence Book Series on Fresh Architecture.
