The Federal Witness Protection Program sends a convicted felon onto the Navajo Big Reservation without notifying Officer Jim Chee of the Navajo Tribal Police, and a wave of murder follows, sending the young officer on a dangerous odyssey that leads from a haunted Indian hogan, to the dark underbelly of L.A, to an ancient healing ceremony in which death becomes the cure.
