The Damascened Blade

During a visit to an old army friend, James Lindsay, commander of the British army's fort at Gor Khatri on the Afghan border, Joe Sandilands becomes caught up in a murder plot with reverberations in the past, when a Pathan prince is killed, hostages are seized, and Joe and his companion are given one week to identify and arrest the killer before the frontier is engulfed in violence.
