Downriver

As Barnaby Skye, a seaman-deserter from the Royal Navy, Rocky Mountain trapper, and frontiersman, and his wife Victoria journey to St. Louis so that Barnaby can apply for a job as a post trader, the couple encounter danger in the form of Creole fur brigade leader Alexandre Bonfils, a deadly rival who also wants the post trader position and will do anything to get it.
