Travels in Icaria

In introducing this first English translation of the classic fictional travelogue to the utopian island of Icaria first published in 1840, Sutton (Center for Icarian Studies, Western Illinois U.) notes that Cabet’s Icarian movement was France’s last flirtation with utopian socialism.
