Rose and Kincheloe (both teach education at Brooklyn College, the City U. of New York) wrote this book following their experience team-teaching a class on art and taste that coincided with the controversy over an exhibition called "Sensation" at the Brooklyn Museum. This volume contains alternate chapters written by each author in which they muse on the Sensation controversy, the role of art in society, and the ways art, taste, and culture can be taught, particularly in New York following 9/11.
